The large size 27mm piper’s diamond shaped doublet button is of white metal with thew regimental title KING’S OWN SCOTTISH BORDERERS around a Victorian crown. The previous title of the regiment was King’s Own Borderers. There is no backmark. Most of these diamond shaped doublet buttons, whether piper’s or officer’s are very difficult to find. apr1/2
