Souvenir Book of King Edward VIII told in pictures. Including his Abdication Message and Broadcast Speech. Sankey, Hudson & Co. [Manchester] n.d. 8½ x 6½ ins. 64pp with monochrome illustration, original decorative covers, stapled as issued, the staples rusted with the cover and the central page detached, otherwise clean. Included with the booklet is a separate 8 x 6 ins three quarter length printed portrait on photographic paper ahowing Edward in naval full dress with medals and orders, identified in the negative as being by Bassano. An interesting ephemeral survival with lots of useful images, especially of the Royal Tours such as that to India and beyond of 1921-22.  mar24/1
