H.M. King George VI. A printed letter to Officer Cadets shortly passing out from the R.M.A. Sanshurst on the occasion of His presenting ne colours to the College, dated 14th June 1947 .It is printed on a sheet of white paper, 9½ x 7½ ins., with the Royal Arms above BUCKINGHAM PALACE embossed in red. It bears the facsimile signature George R. I. The sheet is pasted to an old paper sheet from a scrap album. The cadets who would have received this letter were some of the last to pass out before the Independence of India on the 15th August 1947.  I have never come across an example of this letter before.      jul1/1
