The brass badge, 40 x 24 mm, has two fixing lugs and the design of the Prince of Wales’s crest on crossed lances above a scroll with the regimental title PROBYN’S HORSE .The regiment was k own through much of the Victorian era as the 11th Bengal Lancers and was raised during the Mutiny by Dighton Probyn, V.C. mar28/5
