A rather puzzling button but of exceptional quality and condition for one of pewter manufacture. The design is the regimental title THE QUEENS OWN LIGHT INFANTRY around a strung bugle beneath a Victorian crown. The backmark is S. ISAACS CAMPBELL & Co ST JAMES ST. LONDON. Apart from a reference in an on line forum that the regiment is a unit of the Tower Hamlets Militia we have not found out any detail about the regiment but offer it here for further research. mar30/4
