Staff College, Camberley, late 19th century photographs

£40.00

An old thin card album leaf with four photographs, each 8 x 5½ ins mounted two to a side. One shows Indian arms which were displayed in the entrance hall. The College served both the British Army and the Presidency Armies of India. On the same side is an interesting interior view of the library, The other two photographs show Bridging at the Staff College. The style of cap worn by some of the officers [one of the 22nd and one of the 25th for instance] suggest these photographs date from a date before 1881 when the numbering system ended. See nov7/7 for other views of the entrance hall.       nove7/6
