A very good example of a Wiltshire Regiment officer’s gilt 26mm button with the backmark FIRMIN & SONS LD. LONDON. This is pattern with a Victorian crown, worn from 1881 to 1901, when the crown was replaced by a coronet. There is just a little rubbing to the gilt on the high points of the design. may22/2
