Original green cloth gilt, stitching of hinge split before the rear free endpaper but otherwise very sound with a little edge wear, internally a very good tight copy, one map [Ali Rajpur] somewhat creased, presentation inscription signed by Luard on front free endpaper (to his public school – Marlborough – with their label to front pastedown). This is the largest of the volumes in the impressive Central India State Gazetteer Series we have come across. The large scale maps alone make it a special volume.  feb17/1
