The full length portrait measures 7½ x 6 ins and is mounted on card, trimmed along the top edge. It is identified in pencil on the lower card margin Camp, Aldershot 1892, Adjutant’s Orderly (Salmon) . He appears to wear a pale grey uniform of the type favoured by rifle regiments at the time and sports shoulder wings of the kind worn by bandsmen. He also carries a sword bayonet. oct13/8
