viiii, 323pp, xx Military Index and general index, 101pp Civil Service List, C-in-C’s general orders,  xv Advertisements, original rear printed cover bound in. Re-bound in stout modern black half leather gilt, old personal library stamp to p 7 shows original owner Lieut/A. F. P. Paxton, 17 Regt. Madras. Infy. Rangoon. internally quite clean apart from some stains to title page and child’s drawings to final blank. At this time there were the 16th Lancers & 18th Hussars with eleven British line regiments stationed in the Presidency –  10th, 21st Royal North British Fusiliers, 24th, 43rd, 44th, 45th. 48th, 67th, 89th, & 107th Foot. The book also has details of the Hyderabad Contingent and other subsidiary forces.  jul11/3
