Officer’s silver plated ball button of late George III period with the simple incised design of 18 L . D within a circle of inward facing leaves. There is backmark on the brass base but it is partial and difficult to read. The button retains the original shank and is in good condition. Parkyn illustrates this button 36 which he dates to around 1807. jul9/1
