870pp. late 20th century green half calf with marbled paper covered boards, spine rather faded but a very sound copy of the rare 1st edition of this ground breaking and still invaluable work. There are many modern reprints but it is still rewarding to own a first edition. Even the 2nd edition of 1903 by Murray  [1,021 pp], which occupies an important position on my own desk, is now very scarce. nov26/1
