KABUL. An attrractive 19th century coloured print.
£22.00
Kabul from the Bala Hissar. An unmounted coloured print published by William Mackenzi, London, Edinburgh & Glasgow after a painting by J. Ramage . The overall size of the sheet is 10¼ x 6¾. There is a little discolouration, mainly along the lower plate mark. Unlike another print of Delhi listed tody this one does not carry the publisher’s name but it is clearly from the same set. The image shows a panoramic view of the walled city with a small group of Afghan cavalry in the left foregound with a less lit group of a camel and locals to the right. apr24/3
