Royal Artillery Volunteer Officer’s 25mm sized white metal button. This is the pattern introduced in 1873 and worn until the end of the reign. It contined after 1901 with change of crown and cypher. Regular RA units wore the same button in gilt. The backmark is FIRMIN & SONS LD. LONDON. apr12/1
