Sicily. Two watercolours of Palermo mounted on one old card, dated 1876

Philip J. Marvin: Interno della Chiesa S. Giovanni degli Eremiti, Palermo two attractive architectural watercolours each 8 x 5 ins [20 x 13 cm], on paper mounted on old card titled beneath on the card lower left  and dated on the card lower right Mar ’76 P/M. The card is rather grubby but the watercolours are bright and fresh. One of the paintings shows the exterior of the church, the other an altar within a great Roamesque arch.  I am no art scholar but I find Philip Marvin’s work attractive and interesting. The price is for the two painitngs. Although these are not signed they are clearly by the same hand as painted sep4/7 & sep4/8 sep4/9
