A 7½ x 5 ins simply produced paper with central fold reading on the right hand side [front] With Good Wishes from General Mitford and the Head Quarters, 72nd Infantry Brigade. Christmas 1915. The left side [back when folded] shows sleeping German soldiers wearing pickelahaube spiked helmets in a trench, oblivious to the fact that a British soldier above them is about to throw a smoking bomb or grenade into their position.
