Windsor Court Dress, 25mm king’s or Tudor crown

Fine example of the Royal Household’s Windsor court dress button. The gilt button of large 25mm diameter, has the Garter Star within Garter with motto and Tudor or king’s crown mounted.  The button is in excellent full gilt condition and has the backmark FIRMIN & SONS LD LONDON. These buttons are worn only at Windsor. The dress jacket of blue with scarlet facings is worn by male members of the Royal Family and some other senior members of the Royal Household wear on their uniform. jun24/1
