Skeleton Map of Delhi City and Part of Civil Station Showing the route to be followed by the State Procession on December 29th, 1902. Q.M.G.M Photozincographed at the Survey of India Offices [Calcutta] Nov. 1902.
A 16¾ x 12½ ins printed map on a scale of 6 miles to 1 inch showing the route taken after the State Arrival by train. It folds down to 9½ x 6 ins. The magnificent procession was composed of a great number of elephants with Indian Princes in their elaborate howdahs, accompanied by colourful retainers, following the lead elephants with the H.E. the Viceroy & H.E. Lady Curzon and T.R.H. the Duke & Duchess of Connaught. Prince Arthur represented his brother, H.I.M. Edward VII who was indisposed but took precedence behind Lord Curzon who was the de facto ruler of India whwn the King Emperor was absent. A scarce plan showing the route passing a fireworks display near the Jama Masjid. dec19/1
